Results

Kings Point, NY - Swimming traveled to Kings Point, New York at the campus of the United States Merchant Marine Academy, to participate in the USMMA Inivite. In this non-scoring meet, the Panthers place seven athletes and three relays in the top three, which includes three event wins.

The relay team of Corey McKee, Tory Cozzi, Steven Gromling and Zachary Terzano led the Men's squad off with a 1:42.39, third place finish in the 200 Medley Relay. In event eight of the day, the 100 free, Terzano returned to the pool and claimed his first win of the day in 48.48. Two events later Cozzi added with a 59.04 second place finish in the 100 back. Terzano posted his second event win of the day with 1:02.27 finish in the 100 breast. In event 20, McKee touched the wall first in the 2:00.97 in the 200 back and two events later Thomas Eickelberg was able to pick up a fourth in the 400 IM in 4:39.23. The 100 fly remained strong for the Panthers as Mckee swam 54.01 to claim a second. The Brown and Gold closed with a 7:22.61 effort in the 800 free relay swam by Cozzi, McKee, Eickelburg and Terzano.

The Women were led off by a third place finish in the 500 free by Charlotte Davies in 5:35.40. In event seven, the 100 free, Kelly Mark posted a 1:00.08, which was good enough for fifth. The Panthers would go fifth, sixth, eighth and ninth in the 50 free by Nicole Mulligan, Sarah Bove, Kimberly DeVivo and Brittany Ferencik respectfully. The team of Davies, Bove, Mark and Ferencik were able to pick up a third in the 400 free relay in 4:06.83. The merwomen closed their meet with a second place finish in the 800 free relay in 8:55.28 by the team of Feremcik, Mark, Davies and Jennifer Scarnati.

Swimming will return to action on December 6, when they travel to Ramapo College to take on the Roadrunners in a duel competition. First start is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
