Lanigan Named ECC Co-Pitcher of The Week

Garden City, N.Y. - Adelphi University baseball player Bobby Lanigan (Staten Island, N.Y.) has been named East Coast Conference (ECC) Co-Pitcher of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday, May 5. This is the first time this season that Lanigan has been honored by the conference.

Lanigan went the distance in Adelphi's May 1 game against C.W. Post, striking out 10 and holding the Pioneers to just six hits to lead Adelphi to a 3-0 win. The victory, Lanigan's third on the season, was one of four straight that pushed the Panthers into the post season.

Adelphi returns to action on Wednesday, May 7 when they travel to Oakdale, New York to take on Dowling College in the first round of the ECC playoffs.
