Garden City, N.Y. - Adelphi University men's soccer player Patrick Figueiredo (Sao Paulo, Brazil) has been named Atlantic Soccer Conference (ASC) Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday, October 8. This is the first time this season that Figueiredo has been honored by the ASC.

Figueiredo posted three goals in two games for the Panthers, helping them to a 1-1-0 record for the week. He tallied his third goal of the season in a hard-fought 4-3 overtime loss to Princeton University on October 3. Figueiredo followed that up by registering both of Adelphi's goals in a 2-1 win over Fordham University on October 7th, giving the Panthers their first victory of the 2007 campaign.

The Panthers return to action on Saturday, October 13 when they play host to Philadelphia University in an ASC match-up scheduled to go off at 1:00 pm.
