May 9, 2008 Bloomsburg, PA - Adelphi Men's Tennis traveled to Bloomsburg, PA to participate in the first round of the NCAA Regional. The Panthers lost 5-3 in a close bout against Northeast Ten Bryant University Bulldogs. The Panthers close their season with a 13-9 overall record and 3-4 in the East Coast Conference. The Bulldogs with the win improve to 21-3 and will move on to face 14-5 Bloomsburg. Bryant led 2-1 coming out of doubles play and then earned wins at number one, two and six singles. In the six singles match, Kevin Levinson posted a tough, three-set win 6-4, 2-6, 7-5. First team All-Conference Senior Tomasz Walczak and Junior Alex Molotosky were winners in number one doubles, 8-4 and Sebastian Nieves and Molotosky were both winners in number four and three singles respectfully. This marks the close the Brown and Gold's season, and a strong one it has proven to be. In Ed Canner's first season at the helm of the Panthers, two were placed on the ECC's All-Conference team, Walczak and Anton Voynov, and the team saw it's second birth into the NCAA Regional Tournament as a program.
