Atlantic City, NJ - Through two days of action at the FDU Holiday Jamboree the Adelphi University bowling team has collected victories over two nationally ranked opponents and picked up three other wins to run their tournament record to 5-3. The five wins push the Panthers overall record to 12-18.

On Wednesday, December 27 Adelphi faced off with fifth ranked New Jersey City University and pulled out a 910-865 victory. The win marked the first time in program history the Panthers have toppled a nationally ranked opponent.

Adelphi also collected wins over Cheyney State University (837-605) and St. Francis University (882-633), but fell to host FDU (825-935). The Panthers 3-1 record on the day one placed them eighth out of 12 competing teams.

On Thursday, December 28 the Panthers chopped down a nationally ranked opponent for the second day in a row. This time Adelphi cut down sixth ranked University of Maryland-Eastern Shore 704-682.

Adelphi also collected a win over Coppin State (638-531) but stumbled against Wisconsin-Whitewater (646-793) and St. Peter's (636-727), ending the day with a record of 5-3 after two days of action and in eighth place.

Lisa Raymond and Michelle Montgoris are currently ranked among the top-20 individual performers at the three-day event. Raymond sits in 13th place while Montgoris is one spot in 14th (out of 92 competitors).

Adelphi return to action on Friday, December 29 when they participate in the final day of competition at the FDU Holiday Jamboree.
