Hempstead, N.Y. - The Adelphi University women's lacrosse team played host to Regis University on Friday, April 18 at James M. Shuart Stadium on the campus of Hofstra University. The Panthers blitzed Regis in the first half, reeling off 15 unanswered goals on the way to a 21-4 victory. With the win Adelphi remains unblemished at 11-0, while Regis falls to 2-11.

The Panthers jumped on the Rangers early, scoring four goals in the first four minutes of play, including three in a 44 second span, from 26:55 to 26:09. Adelphi took a 6-0 lead on Michelle Ceraso's third goal of the game at 16:45 and then ripped off four more goals in the next four minutes to take a double digit advantage, 10-0 on a Rachel Ray tally.

Adelphi closed out the first half with five more goals, a run that was capped by an Emily Simpson score with just 50 seconds left in the half. Adelphi and Regis exchanged goals in the first 12 minutes of the second half, before the Panthers took control again, out scoring Regis, 4-2 over the final 17 minutes to pick up the 21-4 win.

Caitlin Fitzpatrick and Christine Kozakiewicz split time in goal, with Fitzpatrick picking up three saves and Kozakiewicz making five.

Ray led all players with eight points on three goals and five assits, while Ceraso scored four goals and Kaitlyn Carter added five points on three goals and two assists. In all 12 Panthers registered a point in the win.

Adelphi returns to action on Saturday, April 19 when they play host to Philadelphia University at 7:00 pm on the campus of Hofstra University.
