Brookhaven, N.Y. - Adelphi took an early 1-0 lead in the first inning, but C.W. Post rallied to take a 2-1 lead to capture the 2008 ECC Tournament Title. The Panthers drop to 40-19 while the Pioneers improve to 44-14.

Senior Dely Francisco scored on an fielder's choice bunt by junior Diana DiPiano to put the Panthers up early. C.W. Post evened the score in the second inning on a single by M. Correia which scored Melissa Hippo.

With bases loaded in the bottom of the fourth, the Pioneers took the lead for good as Hippo scored on an Adelphi error.

Samantha Yodowitz, who gave up just two hits in the game, kept the Panthers hitless through the remaining innings of play.

Adelphi, which is currently ranked second in the Northeast Region, awaits the NCAA pairings for the regional tournament scheduled to begin on May 8.
