Garden City, N.Y. - Senior Julie Schaper (Warwick, N.Y.) was selected as the East Coast Conference Baden Pitcher of the Week as announced today. This is the second straight week Schaper was recognized.

Schaper (10-2) posted a 0.00 ERA and a 3-0 record last week. She had four appearances with three starts and two complete games over 22 innings. She gave up just six hits, one run, with eight walks and 32 strikeouts. In a 2-1 win over C.W. Post, she gave up just two hits and one run, unearned while fanning 13. She also tripled and scored the game-tying run.

The Panthers (18-14, 6-2 ECC) return to action today as they travel to Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. to take on Mercy College.
