Mahwah, NJ - In a non-conference match up against Ramapo College of New Jersey, Adelphi Women's Tennis fell 5-4. The Panthers move to 4-5 overall in the season, but still maintain their 4-2, third place ECC ranking. Alda Ribeiro (Del Ray Beach, FL) moves her number one singles win streak five, defeating Alison Tukel 6-1, 6-1. In number one doubles, the team of Ribeiro and Megan Margino (Lake Grove, N.Y.) defeated Tukel and Liza Wyble, 8-5. Their win streak continues at three, and they are now 4-2 in their last 10 starts. The Panthers took three out six singles matches, with wins also coming in the second and sixth spots by Amanda Aniboli (West Islip, N.Y.) and Kristina Radeva (Varna, Bulgaria) respectfully. The Panthers will hope to further their ECC conference success, when they take on the Pioneers of Long Island University - C.W. Post in Brookville, NY, Friday, October 5. |
