March 22, 2007 Garden City, N.Y. - On Friday March 2, junior Lauren Flanagan, senior Brittany Addeo and freshman Amy Williams, all members of the Adelphi University volleyball team went to the Franklin Early Childhood Center in Hewlett to read to Pre-K, Kindergarten and 1st grade students. The 10th Anniversary of the Read Aross America, the nation's largest reading celebration, generated its greatest support since the inception of the program. All across the nation, reading celebrations big and small put the joy of reading center stage. Adelphi has participated in Read Across America in each of the last four years. |
