Garden City, N.Y. - Adelphi University head volleyball coach, Danielle MacKnight has been named East Coast Conference Co-Coach of the Year as selected by the conference coaches. Seniors Lauren Flanagan and Brittany Addeo also earned all-conference honors. Justyna Michon of Dowling was named ECC Player of the Year, after leading the ECC in total kills (541) kills per game (4.23) and points per game (5.01) and was among lead leaders in hitting percentage, finishing fourth overall (.358). Michon also added 0.91 digs, 0.53 blocks and 0.47 aces per game. Dowling's Erin Przbylowicz earned Rookie of the Year honors. A setter, Przbylowicz led the ECC in total assists (1,404) and was second in assists per game (11.23). She added 1.81 digs and 0.42 service aces per game this season. MacKnight and Dowling's Alex Koszalka earned Co-Coach of the Year honors. MacKnight, in her first season, led the Panthers to a 7-2 ECC record, finishing tied for second place, as part of a 27-7 overall mark. The Panthers 27 wins set a school record as did Adelphi's 11-game win streak. Flanagan earned first-team honors as a middle blocker. She led the Panthers in hitting percentage (.328), total blocks (111), solo blocks (39) and block assists (72). Flanagan was also second on the team in kills with 321. Addeo, a second-team selection, led the Panthers with 1,301 assists and also posted a team-high 93 aces. She was also third on the team in digs with 273.
